It's the Season for Roses!

Hi everyone!
While walking through Jersey City’s Saturday market today, I came across a cute jewelry stand called Roses. I got the chance to speak with the founder of Roses who introduced me to her products and how the business began. With Ecuadorian origins, she moved to the US with the dream of starting her own business. However, language barriers made communication often difficult, thus, it wasn’t until earlier this year that Roses was born.
Roses features a variety of handmade and curated jewelry items, 90% of which are made by the founder herself. The materials for these items are sourced in various countries including Ecuador, Venezuela, and Colombia. While browsing, I fell in love with the pastel color theme of the stand as well as the beautiful gold plated necklaces and earrings. A personal favorite of the founders are her pearls - she loves designing jewelry with her signature pearls on them which I can surely say were the prettiest pieces I’ve seen. You should most definitely visit if you’re looking for a cute gift or piece of jewelry for yourself for any occasion.

Roses is located at the Jersey City Handmade Market every Wednesday and Saturday. However, hopefully one day we’ll see the Roses Accessories have their very own store. I also loved hearing about how Roses got its name - after the lovely roses that the founder’s husband gives her. Down below, you can see some of the jewelry from the store and I hope that you’ll stop by next time you’re in downtown Jersey City!
Before leaving, I got some wonderful advice about how you should never be scared to start your own business and how the most important thing is to always work hard, no matter what obstacles you face because sometimes it just takes time!
